It's official - the Google Pixel 6 series launches on October 19 at 10 a.m. PT. After months of leaks and rumors and jokes from Google itself, the biggest single upgrade in the Pixel smartphone series has a confirmed launch date

Google announced that the live broadcast will not be a live event but will be pre-recorded and if you miss it, you can watch it any time.

The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will launch with Google's first custom mobile chip called Tensor. It was revealed that the Tensor chip is an octa-core processor and will have an Exynos 5G modem, ultra-wideband support, and Wi-Fi 6E.

The Pixel 6 series will have a 120 Hz display with an under-display fingerprint scanner and a hole in the middle. The Pro model has three rear cameras, while the standard model has two rear cameras. The phone is also reported to support faster charging and Google will announce a new Pixel Stand wireless charger later that day. Both phones will run on Android 12 out of the box.

According to unconfirmed reports, the Pixel 6 will cost 649 euros and the Pixel 6 Pro 899 euros. The same source said the phone will hit the market on October 19, which turned out to be true.
